Our kids are unforgiving.
We had a small party on Friday night and found ourselves having such a good time we didn’t go to bed until after 2am. Bella was up at 4am, Oliver was up at 6am. Saturday night we had another Christmas gathering, we debating even going. We had already lined up a sitter and paid for the dinner and drinks, so we went. We called it an early night and were home by 10:30pm. Bella proceeded to be up from that time until 1am, and then Oliver was up at 5am.
We are ruined. Is it our own fault for having a late night? I guess so, but it still seems kind of depressing that we can’t have a few nights of fun for ourselves. I’m sure it’s just bad timing, but it really stinks.
