Family Room

I’m going to say the family room is complete!!!

New trim added to the mantle.

A closer look at the new hearth.

Let’s remember where it all started.  Here the room is before we started any projects.

First we painted the paneling and the back of the bookcases right before Bella’s second birthday in Sept. ‘09.

Then I decided to jump in and paint the brick, bookcases and create a new mantle in July ‘12.

 

Then we decided to flip flop the room around and rearrange all the furniture and electronics.

And lastly we needed to finish up the hearth.  Which has turned into a great place to play cars!

Taking it all the way back to the beginning, here is the room when we did the final walkthrough with the old owners versus our brand new bright and funky family room.

 

We even made a small area for toys that just needs a little organizing in the near future.

Now it’s on to the dining room we go…………….
